Solar removal & reinstall · a roofing service
New roof with solar on it? We remove, re-roof, and reinstall your panels.
One roofing crew detaches the array, replaces the roof underneath, and reinstalls every panel, each mount flashed watertight. We do not sell solar systems. We do the roofing that keeps them from leaking.
A solar company subcontracts the roof. We are the roof.
Most solar installers hand the roof penetrations to whatever crew is cheapest that week. The panels go up fine. Two Connecticut winters later, water finds the mounts that were never flashed right, and the stain shows up on a bedroom ceiling. We start where they cut corners.
Try it
The difference, in the rain
Tap any mount to switch it between a solar installer’s caulk and a roofer’s flashing. Then watch where the water goes.
This is the part a roofer owns and a solar company hands off. It is the whole reason to call us.
What we do
Three ways we work on solar
Panels, mounts, and flashing are ours. System design, the panels, and the electrical stay with your solar provider or a licensed electrician, and we coordinate with them.
What it costs
Priced on what the job actually takes
No bundled solar contract and no pressure. You get a free look at your roof and one clear number to start.
Remove & reinstall
By the number of panels we detach and reinstall, folded into your roof replacement quote. More panels, more labor. Simple as that.
Repairs
We quote after we see the leak. Small fixes and bigger repairs are not the same job, so they are not the same number.
New installs
The roof side, mounting and flashing, quoted once we see the roof and the array plan. The electrical stays with your provider.
Every quote starts free. Remove-and-reinstall rides on the roof replacement and its workmanship warranty; repairs carry our leak-proof warranty. The roofing is ours, so the warranty is ours too.

Good to know
Questions homeowners ask
Can you remove and reinstall my solar panels for a roof replacement?
Yes, and it is one of our most common jobs. We detach the array, replace the roof underneath, and reinstall the panels with every mount flashed watertight. One crew handles all of it, so you are not scheduling a separate solar company to detach and reinstall.
Do you sell or design solar systems?
No. We are roofers. We handle the roof side of solar: removal and reinstallation, mounting, flashing, and repair. For system design, the panels, and the electrical, work with a solar provider or licensed electrician, and we coordinate with them.
My ceiling is staining near a solar mount. Can you fix it?
Yes. Leaks around solar mounts are the repair we see most. We trace the water to its source, reflash or reseal the mount, and back the fix with our leak-proof warranty.
Are the mounts really watertight, or just caulked?
Flashed metal at every attachment, landed on the rafters. Caulk alone cracks after a few Connecticut winters. Proper flashing is the part solar installers skip and the part we do for a living.
Where do you work?
All of Connecticut. We are based in Suffield and cover the state for repair and replacement, solar-related work included.
What does solar-related roofing cost?
It depends on the job. Removal and reinstallation is priced per panel and folded into your roof replacement quote. Repairs are priced by what the fix takes. New installs are quoted per project once we see the roof and the array plan. Every quote starts with a free look.
What warranty comes with the work?
Repairs carry our leak-proof warranty. Roof replacement, including remove-and-reinstall work, carries our workmanship warranty. Trust Proof Roofing LLC holds Connecticut Home Improvement Contractor license HIC.0703927 and carries full general liability insurance.
